The students at Boxville University's Geo-science Department take a pajama day.
Verna's class stays warm by the fire.
What is a polar vortex?
Last week we had a very unusual weather condition called a "Polar Vortex." I wanted to know more about this phenomenon, so who better to tell me then our students.
Seth: "A polar vortex is when all the cold air blows up to the northeast."
Lily: "A polar vortex is a really bad blizzard."
Christian: "A polar vortex is a type of polar bear."
Gracie: "I do not like the north pole, it is too cold. So, I do not like the polar vortex."
Elizabeth: "A polar vortex is when it is cold, and then warm through the week."
Jacob: "A polar vortex is a vortex of ice and snow."
Natalie: (with Violet) "A polar vortex is a very strong wind that makes it very, very cold."
Dawson: (jokingly) "A polar vortex is a lot of polar bears."
Eli: "A polar vortex is when there is a bunch of cold weather at the north pole, and it spreads all around the earth."
Have a great weekend!
